Burrell Park, a small neighborhood in San Jose, California, will be celebrating their Centennial on August 24, 2024. We are a close-knit community dedicated to preserving our rich history and creating a vibrant future for generations to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 AM – NOON:       WALKING TOURS, MUSIC FROM MIKE MENDOZA<\/p>\n

NOON – 1 PM          THELVES – Burrell Park’s own garage band<\/a><\/p>\n

1 PM – 4 PM:            SPEECHES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM HONORED GUESTS<\/p>\n

Some of the residents in Burrell Park have agreed to provide private tours of the interior of their homes. These will be small tours and only available for current and former residents of Burrell Park. <\/p>\n

Matt Mahan, the mayor of San Jose, has agreed to issue a proclamation to commemorate Burrell Park’s Centennial. We have also invited District 6 Councilmember Dev Davis and the current candidates for District 6, Michael Mulcahey and Olivia Navarro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A walking tour of the neighborhood will be available to help you learn about the architecture and building trends from the1920s and 1930s. Led by a guide from the Preservation Action Council of San Jose . Cost is $15\/PAC Members, $20\/non-members<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

THELVES, Burrell Park’s own garage band, are a rising force in the local music scene.<\/p>\n

With a unique blend of indie rock\/surf rock, they have quickly gained a loyal following. The band features Judas Sanchez on guitar and vocals, Martin Cadena on drums, Elias Bartley on guitar, and Owen Harper on bass.
